Killarney National Park is proud to be the first national park to be established in Ireland. There are several large lakes, including Lough Leane. To the south rises a mountainous landscape ideal for hiking. The highest mountain in the national park is Mangerton (839m above sea level). In addition, there are several architectural monuments such as Muckross House and Ross Castle
