The park was primarily based on the untouched area and the forests that are here. You will be pleasantly surprised by the forests and beautiful hills. There are animals and plants that do not live or grow elsewhere on the islands. In the park is the second highest mountain in the UK. There is also a large ski resort. It is the largest park in the UK with an area of 4528 km². The park was founded in 2003.
