Sea and castles near Kizkalesi

On the southeast coast of Turkey you will find the small town of Kizkalesi. Its biggest attraction are two castles – the best known is on the island, less than 300 meters from the coast. The second of the castles is built right on the coast and its ruins are freely accessible.

The most famous of the castles is the one located on the island. It is also very well preserved, but of course due to its location and less accessible.

The town of Kizkalesi is located in a bay with a long beach, from where you can take a boat tour of the castle on the island. Then there is the coastal castle and behind it a second quiet bay with a smaller beach. From here you can see both castles at once.
