Rainforests in Olympic NP
The coast of Washington State and the Olympic National Park is the rainiest area in the United States. It drops 4,000 mm of rainfall every year and is also one of the rainiest places on Earth. We grinded into the valley of the Hoh River, where Native American tribes lived – especially the Hohs. We visited one of the most beautiful areas of the Hall of Mosses – the Moss Road.

Rainforests in Olympic NP
The coast of Washington State and the Olympic National Park is the rainiest area in the United States. It drops 4,000 mm of rainfall every year and is also one of the rainiest places on Earth. We wake up in the beautiful Cottonwood Campground, which works in the style of First Time, Firs Stay, which means who comes first who grinds first. The camp is paid as an envelope. This camp was one of the most amazing on my journey. The rainforests were already visible here, and I felt like I was in Jurassic Park. We grinded into the valley of the Hoh River, where Native American tribes lived – especially the Hohs. We visited one of the most beautiful areas of the Hall of Mosses – the Moss Road. Here, too, the trees are about 100 meters high with a diameter of 7 meters, but what is amazing here are the mosses on the trees. Trees completely covered or hanging mosses from branches. Going here tonight will be really scary. There are several halls on this round trip that will really take your breath away. The mosses are beautifully dry and the fire spreads well with them.
Cottonwood Campground
A beautiful place to sleep under a canopy. Works with First Time, First Stay style.
Hairy branch
This overgrown branch fascinated me
Wrapped branches
This is hard to see anywhere else. Certainly not in our country
They look like bugs in the shadows
Some trees are scary
Other wrapped trees
This is what the whole forest looks like
Local animals
Larger cobwebs can also be seen here
Forest gate
I called this tree the Forest Gate
Another hall of trees
We are already in the third hall of trees
Other branches wrapped
This is not looking
A view of the heavens
Views of the treetops
Beautiful branches
Another look
One last look
These rainforests are a breathtaking place
