The view from the most famous observation tower in Prague

At the top of Petřín Hill, you will find Prague's miniature version of the Eiffel Tower – the Petřín Lookout Tower. Although it is 5 times smaller than the French original, it still offers some of the most beautiful views of Prague. Mainly to Prague Castle and Strahov Monastery.

Petrin Tower
You can get to the lookout tower by a number of routes – tourists prefer to walk here from the Strahov Monastery along the Raoul Wallenberg Promenade or use the unique ground cable car from Malá Strana. From below, the Petřín lookout really looks like a miniature of the Eiffel Tower. An elevator or two spiral staircases lead to the top. Admission for an adult is CZK 150.
View of Prague Castle
From the top of the lookout tower, you will have an amazing view of Prague Castle with its dominant feature – the Cathedral of St. Welcome.

View of the Vltava and Charles Bridge
Perhaps even more beautiful is the view across Mala Strana to the bridges over the Vltava

Strahov Monastery
Near the lookout tower stands the beautiful Strahov Monastery with its famous library.

Church of St. Lawrence
Directly below the observation tower is the church of St. Lawrence

View of the Great Strahov Stadium
In the western direction, there is a view of the megalomaniacal construction of the Great Strahov Stadium – the largest stadium in the world, which is currently in a rather dilapidated state.
