A monastery with an amazing library

To the west of Prague Castle is the massive complex of the Strahov Monastery. Apart from the monastery itself, the famous Strahov Library and the surrounding churches are worth a visit. Directly below the monastery is the famous view of Prague.

The easiest way to get to the monastery is by public transport. The nearest tram stop is Pohořelec. From here it is only a few tens of meters to the western entrance to the complex.
