Agios Sostis is a small resort within walking distance of the capital Laganas. The beach has nice views of Marathonisi Island and Cameo Island. Beware, however, there are also small biting fish, which will not give you peace if you stop for a while in the water. Further south, it is much less lively. This part is called Porto Koukla

Road to Agios Sostis

The beach of Agios Sostis is about 300 meters from the port of Agios Sostis. Of course you can get there by car. It is quite surprising that there is no nice beach promenade

Beach in Agios Sostis

The beach in Agios Sostis is quite narrow, so it is visually quite crowded. The sea is really sloping, so it is also suitable for children

Agios Sostis from the top

If you walk down the street leading to the apartments on the cliff you will get to a pretty nice view of the whole bay

Isle of Cameo

From the beach there is a nice view of the iconic island of Cameo. It pays to be here until late in the afternoon, when the rock turns golden with the setting sun

Directly opposite the beach, three kilometers away lies another interesting tourist destination – the island of Marathonisi

In Agios Sostis

As you climb the stairs above the beach you will reach the small but bustling center of Agios Sostis, where there are supermarkets, restaurants and several hotels.

Road to Porto Koukla

Agios Sostis ends in places where the high wall reaches practically to the sea. Here, depending on the water level, you can either walk or walk about 300 meters inland before reaching the sea again. There are significantly fewer visitors here

Walk behind Porto Koukl

If you want to go even further, count that most of the way you will wade through the shallow sea or walk along the narrow beach. Not far from Porto Koukl, a pretty large beach will eventually appear

Massive cliff behind Porto Koukl

The beach ends with a massive cliff. The continuation of the walk is quite uncomfortable, but the final view was worth it
