The town of Lázně Kynžvart lies in the middle between the more famous Mariánské and Františkovy spas near Karlovy Vary. Together with these well-known spas, local spas are declared by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic as a natural healing resource. Spa procedures are based on a beneficial climate, mineral waters and peat deposits. At present, non-tuberculous respiratory diseases and skin diseases are mainly treated here.

Spa houses

The dominant feature of the town is the spa district with spa buildings, a spa center and a sports and rehabilitation center with a swimming pool on the south-western slope. The spa buildings are located at an altitude of around 730 m above sea level, so they are above the ground mist limit, which, together with high and constant humidity, is important for the treatment of the respiratory tract.

Spa park

Around the spa buildings and the balneocentre building there is a newly renovated spa park within which there are freely accessible mineral springs. The Špičák hill (809 m above sea level) rises above the park. from which there are beautiful views of the Bohemian Forest and the Cheb Basin.
