Visit the oldest national park in the world. Founded in 1872. It is the coldest place in the USA and its location is over 2000 m above sea level. I have experienced many amazing things that are not just as visible in the world as they are here. Carelessness is no excuse here.

Boiling River Thermal River

The confluence of the Boiling River approx. 60 ° C and Gardner River 10 ° C creates a beautiful natural hot tub with pleasant relaxation at an altitude of over 2000 m above sea level.

We are located at about 2700 m above sea level next to the icon of the national park, after which this park was named. Lower Falls measuring 90 meters

Geothermal lake in the Norris Geyser Basin

Norris Geyser Basin is divided into two parts Back Basin and Porcelain Basin is the warmest place in Yellowstone. Most thermal objects have a temperature above the boiling point. Which is due to the height of the area of 93 ° C.

Porcelain Basin in Norris Geyser Basin

It is the second shorter circuit in the Norris Geyser Basin, but it is more popular than the Back Basin, due to its picturesqueness and views.

On a round trip in Old Faithful

An unexpected explosion of one of the geysers at Old Faithful, which could reach a height of about 50 meters. A spectacle that lasted at least 5 minutes.

Old Faithful

Probably the most famous geyser in the world. Which is an icon of this park. It explodes every 64–90 minutes, which is calculated from the previous explosion. That is why it is also called the Old Faithful.

Yellowstone national park

Under the cover of Yellowstone

Our 10,000 km hike through the western US has also sharpened into this unique Yellowstone National Park. It is the oldest national park in the world, founded in 1872, but it was already discovered in the early 19th century and one of the first was the famous tracker Jim Bridger. Today we already know that Yellowstone is a supervolcano and its dimensions speak for themselves. The caldera of this active volcano has an oval shape with a diameter of 48 km x 72 km, which is unimaginable! You can feel and hear about how dangerous a place is at every step. There is a smell of sulfur everywhere, and somewhere it is so strong that those with a more prone stomach would feel sick. It's the same, it's heard. The earth here is full of vents, from which steam is pouring in or making scary sounds, I completely imagined hell and not. Under a 2 km crust, hell is really taking place. Or the earth is full of geothermal lakes. Therefore, on the tours really pay attention to safety and do not get off the sidewalks. Fatal incidents really happen here. The soil is full of cavities and one can fall into one of them. A recent case of a child fell into a 1.5-meter cavity. His parents tried to save him and they also died because this cavity was full of deadly gases. Be sure to pay attention to the warning signs at the ponds, when one person went for a bath to take a picture. As the temperature here is high and the environment is dangerous for humans, he died in the pond. Before the rescuers pulled him out the next day, his body dissolved in this pond. We spent two days in this park. The first day we arrived at the oldest gate in Yellowstone from Montana and arrived in the former military town of Mammoth Hot Spring. The town is besieged by wildlife. It's amazing. Above this town there are travertines. I've never seen anything like it and it was beautiful how travertines create something like that. I'm in sandals and I can feel it warming my feet on these sidewalks. There is a round trip, so I can see the travertines from above and from below. Some form algae in the water, some grow to the top or completely differently. From here it is not far to go to see the confluence of the Gardner and Boiling rivers. Why here? The Boiling River is a thermal river that has over 60 ° C and mixes with the Gardner River, which has only 10 ° C and people have created pools at their confluence, creating a unique natural hot tub at an altitude of over 2,000 meters above sea level. relax and sometimes it's up to horse splashes, because sometimes it's hot and sometimes cold in this case I recommend trying to load a few minutes into a cold river and then into the pool and the water will always be warm. We slept outside the park at Yenkee Jim Canyon Campground. Why here? It is not at such an altitude. The whole park is located above 2000 m above sea level and the nights here can be really cold. The next day we drove through the park and immediately drove to the Upper Falls and Lower Falls. Along the way, we had a view of bison, which we met countless. Although it seems to be a clumsy game, it can run at speeds of up to 50 km in the form of 30 minutes. The upper waterfall is not high at all, but I got to its break and could see how much water is rolling down. It was then the more picturesque Lower Waterfall, which became an icon of the park and hence the name of the national park, for its yellow canyon, which is located here. One wouldn't even say it, but we're at 2,700 meters above sea level. 4 days to 50 years. He's always active, so I could watch the little geysers he published. There are many lakes and many vents on this circuit, which make goosebumps with their sounds. The second circuit, which is shorter, is the Porcelain Basin and is more picturesque. Thanks to the prospects, I can see really beautiful. It is also more preferred by tourists. Now we are heading to probably the most sought after place in this park, Old Faithful. The most famous geyser in the world. That is why it is called the Old Faithful. This geyser bangs every 64–90 minutes. This is calculated according to the previous explosion and its duration of the explosion. there are several other geysers here and it is possible to get around it. During this trip, another of the geysers crashed unexpectedly and it was a spectacle. Because all of a sudden I'm taking pictures and I'm looking through what's going on with the camera. It was something unreal and I would call it geysers are giant poppies, because the water in them explodes over 120 ° C during the explosion and Old Faithful, for example, raises 14,000 – 32,000 liters of water into the air during its performance. I really enjoyed this. And we still have time to look at the Old Faithful Hotel, which is huge inside and there is a souvenir shop. Then the Old Faithful awaits us. There is already a huge crowd of people waiting for the theater to come. Yes, and it happened. It was a beautiful peek, but it was certainly smaller than the unexpected one that had been before. From there we drive to Grand Teton. If you want, you can shoot good Americans here. Since they are very curious, just stop by the road and look into the forest and it won't take long to wait and the cars will stop and look into the forest too.
