Idaho is a state in the northwest of the USA, which has an area almost three times larger than the Czech Republic, but only less than two million inhabitants live here. It is sometimes called the gem state or the potato state.

Idaho is a sparsely populated, rugged country, full of vast and remote nature reserves untouched by civilization. Most of the state is made up of mountains and deep forested valleys. There are many snowy mountain ranges and steep canyons. The largest river, the Snake River, flows into Hell's Canyon, which is deeper than the well-known Grand Canyon. On this river are the mighty Shoshone Falls, which are taller than Niagara
