Mountains
- In the area there are two dominant and beautiful mountains -Fitz Roy (3405 m asl), which is considered the most beautiful Patagonian mountain and Cerro Torre (3128 m asl), which is a wonderful lonely granite tower.
Mountain passes
In this area are two crucial challenging mountain passes – Marconi (1517m asl) / prospect and northern onset of Southpatagonian glacier field and / Viento (1400m asl) / prospect and southern onset of Southpatagonian glacier fields/. You must overcome both of them if you want to do the ultimate trek around Fitz Roy massif around.
Lakes and Ponds
There are a number of huge lakes in the area, which are among the largest in Argentina and are remnants of the Ice Age. The largest of them are Lago Argentino, Lago Viedma and Lago San Martin.
Canyons and valleys
Glaciers
Patagonia is famous for the largest glaciers outside the Arctic and Antarctic in the world. The Los Glacieres area is close to a huge glacier area – the Southern Patagonian Glacier Field, from which huge glaciers such as Perito Moreno, Viedma and Upsala flow to the Argentine side. However, there are many more glacier slides. You can also take a boat to the Onelli, Spegazzinni, Mayo and Cincuentenario glaciers, for example.
