Spending a few days in Amed on the NE coast of the island is a pleasant experience, filled mainly with swimming, snorkeling, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the perfect night sky. Even the return trip to the south of the island offers interesting stops.

Agung

Agung is the highest peak in Bali, 3142 m above sea level. It was created by the god Psupati by splitting the Hindu center of the universe of Mount Mohamer. The last big eruption took place in the autumn of 2017, then the cone sopped in June 2018. It is a beautiful peak, which „smoked“ one day even during our visit.

Jemeluk - Sun set point

This place of Amed showed us some beautiful views of the NE coast with the volcanic landmark Agung. You can have a copy of Bali in the local cafe, a „frešák“ from local fruit gifts, or the most famous beer in Bali – Bintang.

Jemeluk

Not only beaches, snorkeling and nice views are worth exploring. We turn inland several times and get acquainted with the reality of life of the locals.

People and nature

There is really beautiful nature in Bali. But some Balinese do not have many problems with its protection.

Milky Way

In the Czech Republic, many people no longer know what the Milky Way looks like. On the one hand, the sky is overlit by a number of light sources, and on the other hand, more and more people are bowing their heads down at their mobile phones. In Bali, however, the night view of the sky is a breathtaking affair. The image was taken with a exposure time of 30 seconds and the bright star is not a star, but the planet Mars.

Sunrise

Getting up early in the morning pays off. The light increases relatively quickly, it shines. The peaks of the neighboring island of Lombok, which is currently plagued by the effects of a strong earthquake, are clearly visible on the horizon.

Tropical butterflies

On the way to the south, we stop in a butterfly park to enjoy the fragile beauty of tropical beauties.

Salt production

Sea salt is still mined in the traditional way on the south coast in the village of Kusamba.

Sanur

The last stop before returning from Bali is Sanur. The beaches and coastline lining the path invite you to final relaxation and recap all the experiences.
