Summer

- To Caraz: There are frequent micro busses running from Huaraz to Caraz (early morning at 5–10 minute intervals, 70 km, about one hour).
- To Cashapampa (or rather to Conay): From Caraz runs shared taxi. But there will be even nine people in a passenger car and it leaves only after it is filled. Again, about an hour drive.
- From Pomabamba back to Huaraz: Regular bus line. Duration: 7–10 hours.
Overcrowding

Simple accommodation can be found only at the far end of the trek in the town Pomabamba, so you must only camp in a tent during the entire walk.
