The Sierra Nevada mountains are the highest continental mountains of Spain (the higher is just Pico de Teide in Tenerife). There are 23 three-thousand-high peaks including the highest Mulhacen (3,480 m asl) and easily accessible Velety (3,393 m asl). The popular motto here is that you can bathe and go skiing in one day.
