Karimabad is usually perceived as a town ideal for trips rather than for trekking, but it is still possible to take a lot of interesting treks to the nearby and distant places.
- Ultar meadows: The most popular local hike is a day's walk to the pastures surrounded by high mountain couloir of Ultar Sar.
- Hon pass: Experts can sleep in the hut at Ultar meadows and set off for Hon pass at the sunrise. From the top they can admire the view of the entire Hunza valley bounded by Karakorums side.
