One of the most popular places for independent travelers on the Mayan Riviera is a strip of coasts a few kilometers from the town of Tulum. White sand, azure sea, coconut palms, no gigantic resorts, simple cabanas, an evening sitting in bars and drinking tequila – just the right Caribbean relax. The water is very convenient for swimming – the waves are not so high and there is comfortable entry into the water. Moreover, only a few hundred meters away there are preserved ruins of the mayan port. But prices are slightly higher here than in other parts of Mexico.

Typical Tulum

The beach is relatively wide with plenty of coconut palms.

Panorama of the beach

Between the mayan fortress and beach there is a piece of neglected hillside, where only iguanas enjoy the sun. At the same time there is also quite nice view of the countryside.
