Trogir is one of the most visited cities in Dalmatia. Its origin dates back to the 3rd century Greek. A small town about 10 km from Kastela. The main center is its island, where there is a castle from the 15th century. Apparently, the Croatian Venice gained its nickname through a large number of alleys. Trogir has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. On the waterfront it is possible to watch a parade of moored yachts. The town offers countless shops. Especially with souvenirs, which came to me more suitable than, for example, in Split.

Arrival to Trogir

You can get here both from Kaštela airport and then by bus or car. In that case, it is better to be patient, because it is a very popular city and it is better to get up.

The waterfront in Trogir is also called Riva. A beautiful place to relax or dine in restaurants.

Kamerlengo Fortress

The dominant feature of the town is this fortress from the 15th century. It offers beautiful views from the towers of Trogir.

Although it doesn't seem so. The town has countless streets, but it is so small that many will be surprised that it is at the other end of the island. :-)

Classic alleys

Many alleys look like this. So no one can be surprised that there are no cars or other means of transport on the island.

St. Lawrence Cathedral

It is one of the gems of Trogir, as the cathedral was built for about 400 years. For architecture connoisseurs, it will be a feast for the eyes, as there are several styles. For us amateurs, in addition to the beautiful cathedral, the entrance Radovan's portal from 1240 is interesting.
