The ascent to Rysy from the Polish side starts from the parking lot in Lysá Poľana, which is already full of tourists at 7 in the morning, so I recommend an early start, the ascent itself takes about 6 hours (depending on the number of tourists) and the descent from the Slovak side about 4 hours. Before climbing, it is still necessary to pay for entry to the national park from the Polish side, which costs 5 zlotys or 2 euros.

Views of the Tatras

After an hour of climbing, the first views of the Tatras are shown, where we try to estimate which peak are Rysy, we have a lot of favorites, but later we find out that neither is correct

The path comes later to the cottage at Morský Oko, which we bypass on the sunny side and proceed to the first slight ascent.

Above Czarny Stav

The real climb starts after the second ball, where there are no chains yet, but the road starts to climb fast.

The first view of the Features.

After about two hours of climbing, the Features finally show up and the climbing on the chains begins.

He's dancing

At the first more beautiful place to relax, there is a wonderful view of Czarny Staw pod Rysami and Morskie Oko.

Final climb

„Just the last three turns“ and we're at the top. The top left of the slide are the Features that are finally showing.

View of the Features

The most challenging climb starts about an hour below the summit, while the most challenging on this climb is not the difficulty of the terrain or the technical provision of the route, but a large number of tourists who are also undisciplined.

The last transition.

In the end, this little rock is traversed, which is very dangerous, because no one is willing to give preference and everyone wants to go through it first.

Distant view

There are wonderful views from the top, especially to the Polish side where there are no mountains that would prevent it.

Outlook again

The views of the surrounding Tatra peaks are unconverted and it is a problem to move on and start the descent, but in the end we are forced to do so because there are more and more tourists at the top.

The frog is dancing

The view of the Slovak side brings beautiful scenery complemented by Žabie plesá, while also showing the descent route, which, as already mentioned, lasts about 4 hours, but with a visit to Chata pod Rysmi it can take a longer time.
