Gefrorene-Wand-Spitzen (3,288 m above sea level) is a mountain rising east of the famous Tux Glacier directly opposite the beautiful Olperer mountain (3,476 m above sea level). Thanks to the fact that the final station of the Gletscherbus 3 cable car is only a short distance from its top, it is one of the easiest accessible 3,000-meter peaks in the Zillertal Alps. It is only less than 300 meters to the top and only a few meters high.

Start of the tour on the Gefrorene-Wand-Spitzen

From the Gletscherbus 3 cable car station, it is only a few meters to the wooden hut of the Gegrorene Wandgrat Bahn (3,250 m above sea level). Here, go through the door on the right and behind the booth, the hiking trail starts uphill

Exit path to Gefrorene-Wand-Spitzen

The ascent path to the Gefrorene-Wand-Spitzen leads along a fairly steep ridge. You will definitely be happy to secure with a steel rope. A fall to either side would probably be fatal. Also, make sure that your head does not get tangled up by the rapid change in height, because you probably came here by cable car and you are not acclimatized at all.

You will be at the top with love and photography during the ascent within 15 minutes. The views are of course beautiful.

Hoher Riffler View (3231 m)

From the top you can see another available mountain in the area – Hoher Riffler (3231 m). The best way to get to this mountain is from the Fernerhaus cable car intermediate station (2,500 m above sea level). It is then one way about 5km and 850 altitude meters

View of the Tuxertal valley

Directly below us you can see the remains of the Tux Glacier, the Fernerhaus cable car intermediate station and at the very bottom of the Tuxertal valley. The journey back to the cable car takes about the same length of time.
