Golden sandy beaches and lively nightlife
Agia Napa, located in the southeastern part of the Republic of Cyprus, is probably the most popular tourist resort on the island. After the occupation of the northern part of Cyprus, the large beach area near Famagusta was occupied by soldiers and closed. That is why the Cypriots then moved the center of tourism to the area of Agia Napa and fully developed the tourism industry there. Countless hotels and entertainment venues have sprung up on the vast golden sand beaches.
Crowded pages
With its golden sandy beaches and plenty of nightlife options, Agios Napa is a popular tourist destination. Unfortunately, this means that the beaches are often literally crowded. The beaches often turn into an open-air dance floor after sunset.
Foreign tourists
Excellent tourist infrastructure: comfortable hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs, cafes, souvenir shops and safe beaches with fine golden sand attract a huge number of foreign tourists here every year. The area is famous for its lively nightlife and is therefore called „Second Ibiza“. In winter, the resort is quieter and becomes a haven for European retirees.
Tourists from Russia
Locals try to make numerous tourists from Russia feel at home here. It is not a problem to speak Russian in many places, and there are also inscriptions in Russian.
Quiet places
Nevertheless, even quieter places can be found on the outskirts of the area. For example, at the westernmost point is a small fishing port with the church of Agios Georgios.
