The Iron Mountains are distinguished by their geological formation. Before you get to the Iron Mountains you have to overcome the mountain range, which stretches from Zdirec Doubravou to Chvaletice, some 50km. I could call it myself a small example of the Rocky Mountains in the US. There are two forests in the Iron Mountains. The Polom Forest and the Lovětín Gorge are the youngest forest in the Czech Republic. Then river Doubrava with beautiful valley and Chrudimka with dam Seč.
