Transport in the city

• There is an extensive system of underground and buses. Mexican metro belongs among one of the cheapest in the world. It has 10 different interconnected lines.
• By car - there are frequent traffic jams. In addition, there is a system called „Hoy no circula“ (Now do not go) with an attempt to reduce the traffic in the city and means that certain cars according to the end number of license plate remain out of service one day a week.
Taxi - not overpriced, but there are often traffic jams.
• It is sometimes the best and most interesting to walk for shorter distances.

There are four major bus stations in the city, from where there are regular connections to all major places in the country. Lines heading:

• to the north depart from Terminal del Norte – from here you can get to Teotihuacan
• to the south leave from Terminal del Sur – from here you can get to Acapulco, Taxco
• to the west depart from the Terminal Poniente also known as Terminal de Autobuses Observatorio
• to the Gulf Coast and Yucatan depart from Terminal Oriente TAPO – from here you can get to Veracruz, Puebla, Oaxaca.
