Lake Königsee is located in the center of national park Berchtesgaden. Lake water belongs to the cleanest natural water in the world. Its quality approximates to the drinking water quality at the tap. The lake is unique in its echo, which the local trumpeter likes to show on the pipe. Lake Königsee's icon is St. Bartholomew, which also offers hikes to the surroundings.
