Town Chrudim is a bit in the shadow of its big neighbor Pardubice, but it offers visitors an interesting historical center located mainly around Ressel Square. Nice town houses are dominated by the old town hall and mainly by monumental Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Nice is the location of the town on a hill above the river Chrudimka, where is still well-preserved mill with rotating wheel.

Siroka ulice (“Broad Street”)

You can continue from Ressel Square along Siroka ulice (“Broad Street”) – local main street. There is countless number of annoying small speed bumps. The street falls quite steeply down to the river Chrudimka.

Tanning mill

After Siroka ulice (“Broad Street”) gets closer to the river, it is worth to walk a few meters to the tanning mill with an interesting still working wheel.
