Pantai Cenang is probably the busiest resort on Langkawi Island. There is the longest beach with snow-white sand, about one and a half kilometers long. During the day there are only a minimum of people – mostly tourists from countries other than Malaysia. It really comes alive in the evening when the locals gather here. A number of accommodation facilities line the beach, and behind them is the main road with lots of restaurants, souvenir shops and other shops.

At Cenang Beach

The beach is not only long, but also wide. There are only a few sunbeds here, so they don't get in the way. There are also several places that offer water sports – jet skis, etc.

A pleasant beach without crowds

Even in high season there is plenty of space. If you know overcrowded Spanish, Italian or Greek beaches, where it is almost impossible to get to the water through sunbeds and umbrellas – then this is not a risk here

Coast from the sea

Even here, bigger and bigger hotels are still being built – a shame.

Langkawi hotels with swimming pool

In the sea around Langkawi, there can be periods when there is an overabundance of plankton or stinging jellyfish, so it is better to always book a hotel with a pool to be safe. In Pantai Cenang you can try, for example, Malibest Resort .
