The most famous part of the Kamenický trail starts in Spálov and despite many, unfortunately often overgrown today, the prospects descend to Jizera near Bítouchov. The most famous place on this trail is the interesting Myší skála with a nice view of the Bohemian Paradise. Due to the elevation gain, this trail is a bit more challenging than Riegrova leading more by the river (especially if you go from the direction of Semily)

Mouse rock

Right at the beginning of this hike leading from Spálov to Semily, you will come across a beautiful rock formation – Myší skála. From Spálov, it is only about 600 meters along the blue hiking trail. If you went from Spálov to the views over the hill Medenec you have to return about 100 meters.

The top of Mouse Rock

The ascent path to the rock is secured with chains and is definitely not ideal for visiting with children.

View of the Jizera canyon

The top of the rock is ideal for a longer break in the march, the views of the Jizera canyon are really great from here. Ještěd, for example, can be seen on the horizon.

View of Ještěd

This is followed by a slightly duller section of the forest, where there is only one view of the intersection of Ještěd. Along the way, you will also come across the Morava crossroads, from where you will continue along the yellow tourist path.

Viewpoint at Bakala

After about half an hour from Mouse Rock, you will reach the second nice lookout at Bakala. Jizera is pretty deep below you

Viewpoint Moravská Jiřička

The third view of this hike looks promising at first – a nice rock with steep slopes around

Bench in the rocks

Unfortunately, there is nothing to see from the Moravská Jiřička viewpoint except the trees. The most interesting is at least the local bench in the rocks.

Rocks along the way

You won't see as many rocks along the way as on the Rieger Trail below, but you'll miss some here and there anyway.

Road through beech forest

This hike definitely does not lead along the contour line, so count on it. If you go from Semily, you will have an ascent of about 300 meters.

Jiřička Viewpoint

From the fourth viewpoint on the way – U Peršinky is also not very visible. From the fifth – near Jiřička you can at least see the rock on the other side of the canyon, along which leads via ferrata Water Gate

View of Semily

Then you finally get out of the forest and a view of Semily opens up – mainly the industrial part and the housing estate. However, the church can also be seen in the distance

Peretka viewpoint

You can also go to the Peretka lookout from where there is a limited view of the hydroelectric power plant. It is precisely in these places below you that the most famous part of the Rieger Trail is – the footbridge above Jizerou

Descent to Bítouchov

Then all you have to do is descend to Bítouchov and connect to the red hiking trail, which you can continue to Semily.
