The road leading through the highest Pyrenees road pass Port d´Envalira (2,408 m above sea level) is the only connection between Andorra and France. You may be surprised that you will only pass 8 turns to such a high pass. The road practically still leads through the valley. Mountain lovers may be a little disappointed, as there is a large ski and shopping center near the pass, so the landscape here is not really unspoiled.

Riding Andorra

When driving Andorra, you will feel like it is one big petrol station. You can meet them here every hundred meters. The valley itself is quite narrow, surrounded by steep mountain slopes.

View of Andorra la Vella

The capital of Andorra – Andorra la Vella (1,080 m above sea level) is the highest capital of the European state. Basically, the whole stretches along the main road.

Looking back to Andorra

From this point of view, it is beautiful to see almost the entire valley through which you climbed the pass. A few serpentines are at the very end, just before the pass.

Panorama from the viewpoint

If you do not have time for a regular hike, then it pays to climb at least to the view of the restaurant, just above the pass.
