If you do not have off-road vehicle to cross the high mountain pass, you have no other choice than to drive from Dades Gorge to Todra Gorge for 50 km along the main road N10 in relatively boring upland plains almost without any life. The nicest part of this journey is at the very beginning and then at the end, when you have beautiful views of the oasis Boumalne Dades and Tineghir.

View on Boumalne Dades

After you cross the bridge across the river Dades, , the road rises through the town Boumalde up to the upland plain. From the outlook point is a beautiful view of the entire town, oasis and mountain ridges in the distance.

Oasis of river Dades

The river flows away many kilometers directly to the south. Its entire flow is almost constantly surrounded by towns and villages.

The way along the upland plain

Upland plain at an altitude of about 1 550 meters asl is monotonous and the road leads almost along a straight line. Traffic is sparse here and you will mostly see only typical overloaded Moroccan trucks.

Near Imiter

Nice view will be of the town Imiter lying below the red-colored mountain. In the background are visible the peaks of sturdy mountain range JebelSarho.

Area before Tinerhir

Just before you arrive to a beautiful oasis of river Todra in Tinerhir, you will see on the horizon another straggling ridge with a distinctive mountain, on which is an antenna.
