The region in the Dades basin, east of the majestic ridge of the High Atlas, is one of the most beautiful areas of Morocco. Amazing canyons of rivers, vast palm oases in a semi-desert landscape, ancient villages, plateaus with lakes, and most of the year the snow-covered ridge of the highest Sahara mountains can be seen here. Above all rises the summit of Irhil M´Goun (4 071 m asl), the highest mountain of this part of the ridge.
