In addition to skiing, Jihlavské vrchy also offers groomed cross-country trails. The one and most frequent of them is the circuit around Vysoká. It offers many alternatives. The longest circuit is 12 km long and can accommodate practically all possible variants. Cross-country skiing in Vysoká, so I can recommend it for beginner cross-country skiers. This circuit is located about 5 km from Jihlava.

Route map

This is what the route map looks like. However, its reality differs from what the mapy.cz server offers. The downside a bit is that there are no markings, so you may be driving completely differently than you wanted.

Surroundings of Vysoká

I can say that the surroundings have a beautiful touch of the quiet Highlands. Why not run around here, when the conditions are ideal this year.

Apple pie

Already in the morning, they started making cross-country skiers' strudels. Even the smallest ones.

A word in conclusion

There is a pleasant cross-country skiing for undemanding and beginners. Also for other cross-country skiers. The tracks are repaired by technical services. The advantage is the possibility of combining circuits. The disadvantage for demanding cross-country skiers is that there is no background. There are no signposts, so it's easy to move to another circuit. There are no snacks along the way. There is no duplication of tracks, so people must avoid them. Virtually the entire track leads through meadows and fields, thus losing its attractiveness. This makes cross-country skiing around Humpolec much better.
