Bachledova dolina is located on the very edge of the Tatra National Park near the village of Ždiar. Bachledova dolina is known primarily as a ski resort, however, even in the summer months there is a large selection of sports – bike park, bobsled track and of course hiking. There is also a lookout tower of the same name.

Exit to the top

From Bachledova dolina there is a two-seater cable car up to 1151 m above sea level. From the cable car it is possible to see ski slopes, bike park tracks and a bobsled track, part of which leads directly below the cable car.

Approximately 350 m from the exit of the cable car, along the blue direction towards Magurské sedlo, there is a wooden lookout tower Bachledova dolina. The lookout tower is 14 m high. It was made available in 2011.

View of the High Tatras

There is a beautiful view of the High Tatras from the lookout tower with good visibility. You can see, for example, the hill Košiare, cottage Plesnivcec, or Lomnický štít. Unfortunately, such good visibility is not very often.

Flora

Along the way we can watch the local nature. There are spruce forests with a mixture of fir. The local firs are really impressive, especially for their size. We can also see the flora of the Tatra meadows – rattlesnake (pictured), bells, etc. – but also rare plants – cuckoo orchid, or roof gladiolus.
