Ascent to the dominant of the wide surroundings
Leipzig Mountain (689 m above sea level) is one of the highest peaks in the Bohemian Central Mountains. From the top you will have a beautiful semicircular view of dozens of surrounding hills. The ascent road leads either from Lhota or from Medvědice. About halfway between the two villages, from the saddle between Leipzig Mountain and Setenka, the actual ascent to the top begins. The reward for the effort is a beautiful rocky peak plateau with an interesting view of the region
Lhota
We will start the ascent in Lhota, where you can either come by car or walk along the red or yellow hiking trail. There is a nice chapel. The top of Leipzig Mountain is less than a kilometer and a half and two hundred meters away
Leipzig Nature Reserve
Right behind Lhota you will disappear into an almost fairytale forest. To the south of the top of Leipzig Mountain is the Leipzig Mountain Nature Reserve, so you will come across several educational boards here. Protection was established here due to the occurrence of rare plants such as Carnation. Here you can also come across the rare spider Stepník red
Ascent to Leipzig Mountain
From Lhota it is about a 15–20 minute walk to the saddle below Leipzig Mountain. From here, a steeper ascent to the top begins. Near the top you will start to encounter nice rocks. The twisted surrounding forest is also interesting
View from Říp to Hazmburk
Finally, we have an ascent with a series of zigzags behind us and we are standing on a rocky peak. The outlook is only „three-quarters“, but still great. You will be the first to be interested in the wide south-eastern view as far as Říp and Házmburk
View of Lovos
To the northeast is a beautiful view of Lovos (570m)
View not only of the Altar
To the south is a beautiful view of a group of hills led by Oltářík (566 m above sea level), Dlouhý vrch (618 m above sea level) and the highest Solanská mountain (638 m above sea level). Líšeň (548 m above sea level) is a bit more in the foreground
View of Lhota
To the southwest there is a beautiful view of the wooded landscape of hills with occasional meadows. Lhota is also clearly visible, from where we started the ascent

The view to the west is to a forested landscape with less pronounced, although to the conditions of the Bohemian Central Mountains high hills
View of Milešovka
