A walk from Loggia to the Jewish Cemetery

We will start the walk at the Valdštejnská Loggia, where the light is sometimes really magical. The beautiful park and Loggia alone are worth a separate tour.

From Lodz we will set off in a south-easterly direction. We will cross the train tracks, pass through a landscaped part of the garden and finally continue straight into an overgrown wood. Duke Valdštejn planned to build a magnificent garden here. Unfortunately, with his untimely death, the greatest development of Jičín stopped.

The main point of the walk is across the Valdický potok. Before, there was only a log across the water, where some people preferred to turn it back. Now there's a rickety footbridge, so it's a little less adrenaline-pumping than before.

There is a relatively large pond in the middle of the desolate nature reserve. A short distance from it, we will join a more respectable path that will take you to the cemetery

Finally, we come to the destination of our walk – the least visited interesting monument of Jičín. There is a high wall around the entire area and the entrance gate is locked

When you go around the entire cemetery, you will certainly find a passable place from where you can climb the wall and you can view the entire cemetery from a height. You can return to the loggia by a faster route along the nature reserve
