Aqaba's public beach lies between the marina and a huge Jordanian flag pole. It is almost 600 meters long and attracts mainly locals and tourists from Amman. Local women bathe dressed, so it is not very pleasant for Western women to swim here in a swimsuit because they are explicitly „watched“ by local men. It is possible to arrange a boat trip with a glass bottom or rent a pedal boat.
