A city buried in ashes
The ancient city of Pompeii with a tragic event in which it was covered with ashes after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79. The city is located in the Gulf of Naples and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. The rediscovery of this city and its gradual discovery can be without exaggeration one of the most important archaeological discoveries ever.
