Beautiful lake on the edge of the Berchtesgaden National Park
Lake Hintersee (located in Bavaria – several of the same name are located in Austria, for example) is one of the smaller lakes, but very beautiful. Directly above the lake rise two thousand mountain peaks, which you can go on a hiking trail. A simple and at the same time very nice route is around the whole lake – only 2.7 km and about 45 minutes walk. There is also a steamer route across the lake
