Vesely Kopec (lit. “Merry hill”) is a settlement of scattered interesting houses from 19th and 20th century taken here from various parts of Vysocina region (“the Highlands”). In addition, there are also technical water driven monuments (mill, oil room, iron mill). This short but very nice circuit will give you insight into life of farmers and craftsmen over a hundred years ago.

Landscape of Zdar Hills

From the parking place it is still almost 300 meters to the entrance of the open-air museum. Along the way, there is a state farm with a mess around with a view of the hilly landscape of Zdar Hills (part of the protected area).

The circle slowly closes and you will go back to the entrance around the small belfry.
