On the very southern edge of the Znojmo district near the border with Austria, you will find the rather picturesque wine village of Hnanice. There is a nice church in the center and then there is the traditional Sklepní ulička. So you can not only taste wine here, but also take a short walk through the village and its surroundings.

Church of St. Wolfgang in Hnanice

The center of Hnanice is náměstí sv. Wolfganga with the church of the same name. It is a very old church from the 15th century built in the Gothic style.

Cellar street in Hnanice

There is not much to see on the square outside the church, so we continue straight to the biggest attraction here – Sklepní Street in Hnanice.

At the places where our path comes to a crossroads, we turn right and follow the yellow hiking trail to the local pond.

Chapel of St. John the Baptist

After the pond, we will leave the tourist route and between the houses we will start to climb the Na Skále hill (305 m). In the vicinity of Hnanice there are a number of chapels, one of which is the chapel of St. John the Baptist, which we will pass on the way up.
