Platja es Grau is located near the town of the same name. The sandy beach is 590 m long and 35 m wide. The area is surrounded by sand dunes and pine groves, which are part of the S'Albufera Es Grau nature reserve.

Access to the beach

It is possible to get to the beach from the town of Es Grau, where there are several larger parking lots, or by walking through the nature reserve.

Cove

The beach is located in a bay where on one side is the town of Es Grau and on the other is a rocky promontory behind which is another smaller beach. The water in the bay is thus completely calm and without waves.

Clear water

Although the beaches in the north of the island do not have white sand, this does not detract from their beauty. The water on Menorca is crystal clear everywhere, which is also the reason why the entire island has been declared a UNESCO biosphere reserve. The beach in Es Grau is ideal for relaxing or visiting with children. The gradual descent makes the water very shallow. A few tens of meters from the shore, the water is still barely up to the knees of an adult.

We leave the beach

At the edge of the beach, fresh and salt water mix, which then flows into the neighboring nature reserve.
