A short round trip around a volcanic cone with a number of pretty large volcanic boulders. After graduating, your idea of Lanzarote and its landscape will be more complete.

Starting point

We take the LZ-56 road north towards the town of Mancha Blanca. Parking on the right side can not be missed. From here, there is a marked circular path, which we go counterclockwise.

Volcanic bombs

Views of the surrounding countryside on the volcanic cones, the towns of Masdache and La Vegueta will soon appear. However, what is typical for the local landscape are huge stones, lava bombs. It's hard to imagine this hot material flying around you when the volcano is angry.

Vegetation

There are no trees here in this apocalyptic landscape, except for this unhealthy-looking piece. We are about halfway around the Colorado Mountains.

Lonely stones are scattered all around, usually much taller than a human.

Sea of lava

And we are at the western foot of the volcano we are going around. We are approaching back to the parking lot. We have a view of the lava sea and peaks belonging to the Timanfaya National Park.
