Area Draa river Valley

Wandering along the longest river in Morocco – Draa offers beautiful views of the old forts, green oases and spectacular sand dune Tinfou. Above the valley rise table mountains with rocky deserts on the tops, thus the roads have to overcome a lot of twists. N9 road running along the river ends near the Algerian border in the town of Mhamid. It is possible to get further into the surrounding desert only by terrain cars. Practically all life take place in villages in the valley of the Draa, the rest of the region is very barren.
