The Bohemian Forest is a densely forested mountain range on the western borders of the Czech Republic. Most of it is located in Germany under the name Oberpfälzer Wald. The highest peak is Čerchov (1,042 meters above sea level). It can be described as a lower version of neighboring Šumava
