Famous Bernardin Pass
One of the most beautiful and even the highest alpine road passes is the Great St. Bernard Pass (2,473m asl). The pass was made famous by Saint Bernard dogs. The beauty of the pass gives him not only a large lake practically right in the pass, but also a very pointed mountain Grand Golliat (3,238 meters above sea level). The state border between Switzerland and Italy also passes through the pass.
