Place Monastery of Sera

Sera Monastery (3,700m above sea level) is one of the three most important university Gelupka /Buddhist School/ monasteries in Tibet. It is located just a few kilometers from the center of Lhasa, so it is very accessible. The monastery is relatively large (400×500 meters) and there are really a lot of monks. In addition, from here you can go on a semi-illegal hike to the mountains above the monastery for beautiful views.
