The Dead Sea (- 415m) is an extremely salt lake and at the same time the deepest depression. From the Israeli and Jordanian sides, there are roads around it. You will see here a muddy and arid landscape with unfortunately only a few possibilities for bathing. There is very quickly drain of the whole lake, which is caused by pumping nearly all water from the Jordan River for irrigation. On the Jordanian side there are also famous canyons
