Chile's Lake Jewel
Highly lying, the large Chungara Lake (4,561 meters above sea level) is one of the most beautiful Southamerican lakes, thanks to the volcanic peaks surrounding it. The most beautiful is the view of the Parinacot volcano towering directly above the northern end of the lake. It is the biggest touristic attraction in the north of Chile.
