There are several nice bays on the southwestern end of the island of Lesbos. One of them is Tavari, accessible by asphalt road from the town of Mesótopos. The local sandy-pebble beach is nearly half a kilometer wide and is ended by a small harbor on the west. There are also taverns and shops, but as ii is quite remote, there are not many tourists here.
