One of the symbols of the Bohemian Paradise is the Humprecht hunting lodge, located just a short distance from the picturesque town of Sobotka. Apart from the tours of Humprecht, you can also take a pleasant short walk to Sobotka, where there are also several sights to see.

Panorama of Sobotka

We will start the walk at the parking lot at the Sobotecký cemetery. It can also be viewed – there are three war memorials: the war of 1866, and then the First and Second World Wars. There is also the grave of the most famous native of Sobot – Fráni Šrámek. A footpath runs along the cemetery (a blue-marked tourist route in the direction of Humprecht. From the footpath there is a beautiful view of Sobotka with the dominant church of St. Mary Magdalene.

Ascent to Humprecht

A long staircase then leads to the beautiful castle itself

Lookout - lookout from Humprecht

There is a top walkway with benches around the entire castle, but the view is very limited due to the overgrown trees. At sunset, however, it always has an interesting atmosphere here.
