Summary of Spanish cities history
Picturesque Plaza de España is one of the most interesting places in Seville. Thanks to towers, buildings with arcades, bridges and lakes you will feel here more like in a castle than at the square. Each provincial Spanish city has here its own picture from tiles showing an image from its history. In addition, right next is a nice park of Maria Luisa, where you can eventually cool off in the shade and admire beautiful fig trees.
Pedal boats at Plaza de España
The entire square Plaza de España is a beautifully symmetrical crescent, on whose ends are two beautiful towers. In the small arch is water area spanned with four bridges.
Central building on the square
The central building has two other smaller towers. Right in the middle is a large fountain. The entire square gives a monumental impression.
Ubiquitous carriages
One hallmark of Seville is a huge number of carriages at the major sights. They continually offer their services, which can be quite annoying after some time.
Bridges at the square
The bridges over the water surface itself are nicely decorated with painted tiles.

Each provincial Spanish town has here a tile picture form its history. It takes a lot of time to see all of them.
Arcades
Arcades surrounding this entire semicircle are two-storey, so you can also undertake a walk above the square.

Large park Maria Luisa follows to the square. You can hide here from Seville´s renowned sun and hot weather.
