Filipov is a village that became part of the town of Caslav (about 2.5 km southeast) in the district of Kutna Hora. There is a castle and a number of houses in the English Gothic style, so it looks like a small Hluboká.

Lock

The dominant feature of the village is the local chateau, which was built in the 18th century as a baroque chateau for Filip Krakovský of Kolovrat. In the years 1863–1866, the entire chateau, together with the adjoining courtyard, was rebuilt in the English Gothic style. Extensive reconstruction created a richly structured, large building of a representative castle. The adjacent garden is still partly in the style of the late Baroque. Today, the castle is in private hands and there is a medical facility.

Street of stylish buildings

It is interesting that the adjacent buildings were rebuilt together with the chateau, which are also decorated with richly decorated facades, projections, cornices and pseudo-Gothic attics. Unfortunately, not all buildings are now in good condition.
